Biography

Jeff Edwards age 25 was raised in Tiverton R.I which borders Fall River Massachusetts. Fall River until the end of the 1940’s was one of Americas most actively industrious cities, however come the end of WW2 the city has been in decline ever since. It’s once glorious factories were left for ruin, and were either partially used and not maintained or abandoned completely.

Seeing these buildings everyday as a child and wondering what once was, is one of Jeff Edwards ideas as to why he has such an affinity for the abandoned, and neglected. Combined with personal experiences and an intense interest in history and exploration Edwards found his eye within the decay of the human condition and society.

Constantly searching for new material Edwards is always on the lookout for a new subject. Ranging from houses; hospitals, vehicles or public locations there are many interesting things left to be re-discovered. “Once entering these places you can sense the building, nothing like a supernatural sense, but one of observation and imagination. You can envision the life that once beat through the location.” Says Edwards as an idea of what moves him from shot to shot.
